Anna Siedykh a Tomáš Forró: Ukrajina – krajina a literatúra  SK-UA

How has the war in Ukraine been reflected in translated literature in Slovakia? Reporter Tomáš Forró and poet Anna Siedykh, joined by moderator Daniel Kollár, will discuss this deeply affected country.

Tomáš Forró is an independent reporter specialising in conflicts and crisis areas. He has a strong bond with Ukraine, which is reflected in his books Donbas: The Wedding Suite in Hotel War and Song of Sirens: A Journey into the Heart of the Ukrainian War. Anna Siedykh comes from Kyiv, Ukraine, and studied in Slovakia, where she now works as a poet, translator and cultural manager. At the Malý Berlín cultural centre in Trnava, she focuses mainly on the Ypsalon literary festival and events related to Ukraine. Daniel Kollár is a geographer and publisher who has contributed to the publication of several Ukrainian books in Slovakia. Together, the three will use several books to explore the realities of Ukraine and in addition to discussing Ukraine’s recent past and present, they will also seek answers beyond the literary.
