Irish Band Just Mustard to Perform Before Legendary The Cure on Wednesday at Pohoda

Alongside The Cure, the extra festival day will feature other bands handpicked by Robert Smith. One of them is the Irish rock band Just Mustard, who will also showcase their latest album We Were Just Here at Pohoda.

The five-piece band Just Mustard from Dundalk, Ireland, returned this year with their latest album We Were Just Here, following the dark, misty corners of their 2022 album Heart Under. Their third album brings a new, warmer, and more direct sound, yet it still carries the characteristic tension, hypnotic melancholy, and unique magic that made the band famous.

The album was recorded at Black Mountain Studios, just outside their hometown of Dundalk, and mixed once again by David Wrench (FKA Twigs, Frank Ocean), who infused it with melody and clarity. The result is a collection of powerful tracks that at times evoke the shoegaze energy of My Bloody Valentine, while in other moments, they have the rawness of Nirvana.

The band, consisting of Katie Ball, Noonan, Mete Kalyoncuoğlu, Rob Clarke, and Shane Maguire, opens up towards euphoria on this new album. As vocalist Katie explains: “I was trying to write more optimistically, and feeling like a fraud sometimes. I was trying to put myself in places of physical joy to try and get that euphoric feeling.” You can get closer to it too, with Just Mustard on the extra festival day, Wednesday, 8th July 2026, at Pohoda.

THE CURE Extra Day is organised by Pohoda Festival at Trenčín Airport on Wednesday, 8th July 2026. Separate tickets for the extra day are available, as well as a 4-day combo ticket for The Cure and Pohoda Festival (8th – 11th July 2026), or an upgrade ticket that extends your already purchased 3-day Pohoda ticket to include the extra day with The Cure.

The exclusive partner of the festival's extra day is ESET.
