The fans of harder genres should sit up with the band Landless. They were recommended to us by Rudi Rus from FM Radio (Headbanger) and when we first heard them, it was clear we wanted to have them too at Pohoda. Young boys from the Žilina neighbourhood play modern post-hardcore and metalcore. Their music is decorated with a huge portion of energy, various and striking rhythm, and technical sophistication. → read more
If anyone is to be seen as the embodiment of the anti-fascist stance in music in Slovakia, it is the guys in the band RozpoR. They founded the band at the end 90s, and since then, they have been expressing themselves uncompromisingly against neo-Nazis in their music and lyrics as well. It is the time for their “Oi!” and hard-core music with occasional ska and reggae adventures to be played also at Pohoda 2016. → read more
If there was a voting for the most hipster band of Slovakia, Bratislava Hot Serenaders should win it. With their hipster hairstyles and Hot Jazz played on vintage instruments, the band performs better than any DJ at the extremely popular dance parties. Add the dandy and the funniest glossarist in Slovakia, Milan Lasica... Pack you brillantine and get quickly to Pohoda. → read more
The Czech big band The Tap Tap has released three studio albums and two “live albums” recorded in the Czech State Opera House. The band has collaborated with artists such as Vojta Dyk, Xindl X, Dan Bárta, David Koller, and many others. The video for their great satirical song “Ředitel autobusu” (Director of the Bus; based on the personal experience of one of the band members) has five million YouTube views. Nowadays you can see the band in the performance “The Tap Tap: Nefňuká” (The Tap Tap does not Whimper) on the New Stage of the Czech National Theatre and at Pohoda 2016 at the beginning of July. → read more
Saténové ruky have become a phenomenon since their recent foundation. Musicians in their forties recorded a fantastic generation album, for which they recently won two Radio_Head Awards statuettes from the young Rádio FM: they won them for the debut of the year and the album of the year (critics' award). They themselves refer to their music as primitive rock, yet it would be quite a challenge to find better lyrics on the contemporary scene. → read more
