When we invited the Dutch band Bazzookas to the St. Vincet de Paul night shelter last year, did not hesitate for a second. This time around they themselves even asked if we were doing a concert for the homeless people again. The attenders of the sixth edition of Doma Dobre will thus see a fantastic show by this Dutch ska-rock band once again. The night shelter will also feature Bratislava rock’n’rolll delivered by Saténové Ruky and the temperament and impulsiveness from under the Tatra Mountains presented by Lomnické Čháve. The concerts will be held in the low-threshold night shelter of St. Vincent de Paul on Sunday, 8 December, from 2 p.m. The event will also include a discussion on homelessness, an exhibition of photos, video projections and a children's play area (featuring Notový Danny and the theatre Ministerstvo nápadov). Thom Yorke has up to four nominations, namely in the categories "Best Alternative Music Album (Anima)", "Best Music Film (Anima)", "Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package (Anima)" and "Best Song Written for Visual Media (for the film Suspirium)”.   → read more

The Wilderness – real evidence that punk at its best is not dead – will perform at Concert for the Attentive in Fuga. Brilliant lyrics, excellent music and uncompromising attitudes are the reasons why The Wilderness rank among the principal bands on the Slovakian music scene. Their video for the song "Čo s tým hnevom" (also created at Pohoda 2018), was described as the Video of the Year by Slovak music portal Hudba.sk. → read more

The Concert for the Attentive will also feature the world premiere of the Slovak-Hungarian project Drť. The band will play at Fuga twice (at 10:35 and 00:30), as the concert will also serve as a public recording of their debut album called Puntičkár. It's dedicated to the victims of persecution, repression and murders of the communist regime. he author of the project is Miro Tóth, a music composer well-known also thanks to his collab with The Kronos Quartet. Apart from him, other well-known musicians form part of the project as well: Lucia Chuťková, Marek Buranovský (Vojdi), Márton Csernovszky (The Best Bad Trip), Áron Porteleki (Thisnis) and Michal Kaščák (Bez ladu a skladu). Their songs represent a poeticized musicalized version of a conversation with the former head of State Security, Alojz Lorenc. Marek Kundlák took care of song stylization. → read more

Another name of Pohoda is the British alternative rock band Shame. They debuted at the beginning of 2018 with the appropriately titled album “Songs of Praise”, as straight after the release, the British media launched a praise race for this recording. NME called the album the debut of 2018 in their yearly selection, and gave it the highest possible rating (five stars out of five). They also described it as loveably sarky and sordid work and concluded that Shame is a band with a real sense of showmanship, as those who have witnessed their sweat-slicked live shows will know. Songs of Praise topped the UK vinyl record charts and made it among the top ten albums of the year by the Rough Trade radio (1st), DIY (2nd), and The Independent (10th). Shame will come to confirm the great reputation also at the Trenčín airport. → read more
