Royal Blood

Royal Blood GB

PLANNED DAY OF THE SHOW: FRIDAY

The iconic duo of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher will bring a big dose of rock to Trenčín Airport in July. Their eponymous debut album, released in 2014, earned them a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Prize. In 2015, they won the Best British Band of the Year at the BRIT Awards

Royal Blood have received awards from various music magazines, including the NME Awards, Kerrang! Awards, and Q Awards. Shortly after the release of their debut album, it was praised as a rock debut not seen in a long time, drawing comparisons to bands like The White Stripes, The Black Keys, and Muse. They recently toured with Muse.
Their third album, "Typhoons" (2021), was co-produced by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, who are also set to perform at Pohoda next year. Their latest album, "Back to the Water Below," was released in September and entirely self-produced.

"Rockers can celebrate! Queens of The Stone Age and The Armed are now accompanied by the fantastic Royal Blood. We've been trying to bring them to Pohoda for years, and I'm thrilled that it finally worked out this time. Friday promises to be an electrifying night at Pohoda. Following the outstanding Royal Blood, the energetic Pendulum will bring the main stage to a spectacular close," shares Pohoda's Michal Kaščák about Royal Blood.

Though Royal Blood is a duo, their energetic concerts make it feel like you're watching a band with at least six members. See for yourself at Pohoda in July.
