Meowlau

Meowlau  SK

Laura Jašková is coming to Pohoda 2026 with her solo project Meowlau. She will take to the stage with her own Slovak songs, which she released in February 2026 on her debut album Kvety.

The album, created in collaboration with producer Matej Turcer, is a deeply personal and stylistically diverse record mapping the turbulent events of 2025. Kvety functions as a musical diary, chronologically capturing a period marked by turning points, doubts, and the search for identity.

The debut single Ruksak carries a melancholic atmosphere with distinct indie influences and an honest reflection on emotional disappointment and failure. On the other end of the spectrum are darker, post-punk-leaning tracks such as Duša v koši and Nemám výťah a nemám ani teba, transporting listeners into the raw poetics of aging housing estates and inner unrest. Meowlau describes Duša v koši as the song closest to her artistic essence—more dramatic, intense, and sonically uncompromising.

The album offers a wide range of emotions—from dark introspective moments to disarmingly sincere declarations of love. Kvety does not feel like a cautious debut, but rather a natural outcome of inner maturation. Meowlau enters the scene without pose or pretence, with music that is both raw and tender, personal and courageous.

Live, the songs will be performed in a trio formation featuring Laura Jašková alongside bassist Kristián Foľvarský and drummer Vladoš Paška. Pohoda 2026 will thus offer an authentic encounter with an artist who has chosen, for the first time, to fully reveal herself to the world.
