Literárny cirkus KK Bagalu: Kapitáňová, Kerata, Bene, Ulej SK
KK Bagala’s Literary Circus: Ulej, Šáteková, Kerata, Kapitáňová, Bene, and perhaps also Jozef Ignác Bajza
Discover the latest in local humorous literature. Titles such as Nezmysly nezmizli, Emeriho príbeh, Zas píš, and even upcoming manuscripts. All this accompanied by live illustrations. Your morning guide will be ringmaster Koloman Kertész Bagala.
Daniela Kapitáňová, author of Samko Tále's Cemetery Book, the detective novel Keep It in the Family!, and the collection of detective parody short stories Murder in Slopná, will present her latest collection of rhymed verses, Nezmysli nezmizli (Nonsense Hasn’t Vanished), which, through dark and even darker humor, pays tribute to the Slovak language.
Bene will introduce a novella that comes with a rap album. Or perhaps a rap album that ends with a novella. Laco Kerata is said to be “absurd and humorously sad stories with a touch of the grotesque.” At Pohoda, he’ll present unpublished manuscripts—so we’ll see if the reputation still holds. Tomáš Ulej has returned after six years with a new collection of aphorisms, Zas píš!, and with the help of illustrator Ivana Šáteková, once again delivered a brilliant circus-worthy performance. Ivana will join him in the Literary Tent as well. The morning will be hosted by ringmaster Koloman Kertész Bagala, accompanied by the excellent Robert Roth. And maybe—just maybe—Jozef Ignác Bajza will make an appearance too.
