The Serbian band KOIKOI combines raw energy, emotional depth, and genre-defying music that blends indie rock, electronic, and post-punk. Their debut album Pozivi u stranu brought them significant success — they performed over 130 concerts in 16 European countries and, in 2023, received a nomination for the prestigious Music Moves Europe Award at the Eurosonic festival.
KOIKOI have performed at several key European festivals, including Reeperbahn Festival, Europavox, and Fusion Festival, as well as at major regional events such as InMusic, Exit, and Arsenal Fest. In 2025, they appeared at showcases including Waves Vienna, SoAlive, and SHIP Festival in Croatia, and during the summer they opened for Fontaines D.C. in Belgrade.
Rolling Stone UK described them as “Serbian psych-rockers whose sonic power is tangible, with an electrifying sound and fully-charged concert volume.”
Their latest album “O sreći u snovima” marks a bold new chapter for KOIKOI — an introspective yet powerful record blending raw emotion with refined sound. Traversing layered genres such as indie rock, post-punk, electronica, and dream pop, the album’s experimental arrangements and rich male-female vocal polyphony explore the elusive nature of happiness. Personal stories, surreal reflections, and a deep sense of longing intertwine to create music for dreamers, wanderers, and anyone who has ever searched for joy in unexpected places.
The first single, “Ponovo stran”, released on their own KoiKolektiv Records label in June 2025, quickly climbed radio charts and gained digital acclaim, becoming KOIKOI’s most successful release to date. The band, consisting of Marko Grabež (guitar, vocals), Emilija Đonin (synthesizer, guitar, vocals), Emilija Đorđević (bass, vocals), and Ivan Pavlović Gizmo (drums, samples), can also be experienced live at Pohoda 2026.
