After eight years, Zapaska, a representative of the Ukrainian independent scene, returns to Pohoda. The duo plays indie folk, or a mixture of folktronica and dream pop. Excellent melodies are complemented by striking yet delicate beats. Zapaska has already released two albums on the Slovak label Slnko Records and had several collaborations in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland.
The duo consists of Yana Shpachynska and Pavlo Nechytailo, who are also partners in private life. Zapaska is a beautiful representation of the tender and yet modern Ukrainian folk scene. Let yourself be carried away by their performance at Pohoda 2023.
