Waterbased, Slovak duo of Julls Mihalyiová and Ľubo Krajňák based in Prague, combines the tenderness and intimacy of humanity with an inner explosion of feelings. The musical friction of dream/art pop, noise, trip hop genres creates generative original combinations of transformed bodies in a deliberate game.
In 2020, the project was nominated in the Discovery of the Year category of the Radio Head Awards. Czech magazine Fullmoon included the duo among the "11 hopes from Slovakia" (2021). They have already managed to present their music at festivals such as SHARPE (SK), Beseda u bigbítu (CZ) or Takt (SRB). After two years of work and concerts, Waterbased are releasing debut album Silent Regions on March 28. The album was produced by Jonatán Pastirčák (Isama Zing) and Ondrej Mikula (Aid Kid).
