The Concert for Martina and Ján will take place on Sunday, 5th May, in the grounds of the Gregorovce Primary School near Prešov. This year, the concert is once again being organised in co-operation with the Municipality of Gregorovce. The concert will feature one of the most popular Slovak bands, Korben Dallas, and the current winners of the Radio_Head Awards, Katarína Koščová and Daniel Špiner. Admission is free.

On 5th May, Martina Kušnírová and Ján Kuciak would have celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. The event will be held in a symbolic location, at the heart of Gregorovce, on the premises of the primary school Martina used to attend. The evening will also include a discussion.
"On 5th May 2018, Martina and Ján were meant to unite their two families, but before that could occur, their tragic murder united the entire nation of Slovakia. We aim to highlight that the core of this unity – the pursuit of truth and justice – remains steadfast. In a time where figures such as investigator Peter Juhás and the two overseeing prosecutors of this case are stepping down, it's imperative that we return to our roots and stand in solidarity first and foremost with Martina and Ján's families, and also with all those advocating for a better Slovakia. We expect to meet many of these individuals at the concert in Gregorovce," says Michal Kaščák about the concert.
In the event of bad weather, the concert will relocate to the multipurpose hall of the Gregorovce Municipal Office.
Admission is free.

In the space of a few years, Bratislava's Korben Dallas have risen from the underground scene to become one of Slovakia's most sought-after bands. Their breakthrough album Karnevalová vrana (2013) won them three Radio_Head Awards, including Best Album, Best Single and Best Live Band.
Korben Dallas have had a number of great collaborations, including with a symphony orchestra, which you could also experience at Pohoda, with Jana Kirschner or Aneta Langerová, and their 2019 album Bazén was produced by Eddie Stevens (Róisín Murphy, Zero 7, Jana Kirschner). Their latest album Pohyb! was released this year.

One singer and one pianist. Just two performers and co-creators are enough to make their music resonate with the depths of our emotions. At Katka and Daniel's concerts, we find ourselves laughing and crying, becoming part of intimate stories, true friendship, lyrical experiences, and shared humor. It's in these moments that they are most genuine, both to themselves and to their audience.
They released their first album together, Hranica dažďa, in 2019. In November 2023, they released a new album called Krehkosť, which was recorded entirely in a log cabin beneath the Tatra Mountains. It contains songs about intimacy, beauty, but also about pain, fragility and the transience of the moments we live. The musical delicacy is captured without exaggeration or filters. Minimalist arrangements are based on piano and vocals, with occasional subtle touches of double bass, guitar and accordion.
